Hi,
My name is Prenisha and welcome to It’s a Nish Thing, my blog and personal memoir. “It’s A Nish Thing” is simply my thing, me as in PreNISHa, my collection of Nish moments and opinions on “Niche” things!
Its all started in 1992, when a beautiful princess was born. Her first beauty memory was of her mother putting on dark maroon shade of lipstick (It was quite a beauty trend in the day). My mother has always been beauty inspiration to me and I’m so glad and blessed to have her support. She’s a woman warrior you know.
My beauty Journey started in grade 12 when my very “macho” father eagerly took me to Egdars to buy me my first beauty products and makeup bag for my matric ball. He knew more about beauty products than I did and so it began, my love and passion for beauty!
Then, I moved to the “big league” as they would call it, while studying at univerity, I landed an internship at rubybox, my beauty world exploded…I got to interact and work with beauty legends, beauty brands and beauty products. I started saying beauty brands like L’occitane, Africology, Beaucience, Soap & Glory, Urban Decay, Marc Anthony on a daily basis and wanted all my friends and family to jump for joy as they heard these names too as I was in love. After three years climbing the beauty corporate ladder at rubybox, I realised that it wasn’t just a job to me but my beauty university lead by South African beauty legends.
So now, I have launched my very own online beauty store, www.azetori.co.za which has 15 beauty brands and counting. I’ve learnt to start a company, design a website, delegate and run social media #GIRLBOSS style!
This blog is an expression of my love for beauty, fashion, lifestyle, food and I want to create with it women inspiration and empowerment in South Africa.
